A fine new selection that is very compact and free flowering, with even young plants producing the characteristic, showy flower plumes. Shapely hummocks of mid-green foliage are topped by sturdy, short stemmed, fluffy plumes of silvery cream from high summer onwards. The flowers persist well into the winter on the plant but last better for indoor decoration if cut as soon as they are fully open and dried out thoroughly. Hardy and evergreen. Excellent cut or dried flower.

Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good, well draining garden soil.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
