Clematis 'Carnaby'

Masses of single,pink flowers, with dark central stripes, delicately crimped petals, and attractive red anthers from late spring and again late summer. Best trained up a pergola, grown through a tree or shrub, or grown in a deep container.

Plant Care

Any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Feed in spring with a good general fertiliser. Enjoys full sun to part shade, or a mix of both throughout the day and will do best when its roots are kept shaded and cool.

Water thoroughly or stand pot in a container of water for half and hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in hole so that it is level with the surrounding ground, and re fill firming as necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a general fertiliser
