Phalaris arundinacea var. picta 'Arctic Sun'⁽ᵛ⁾

Reed Canary grass. An upright, spreading, semi-evergreen grass with yellow and green striped leaves that mellow to green as they mature and spikes of yellow flowers in summer. Hardy and easy to grow. Super for patio containers. Attractive to bees and other pollinators. Good pond edgeing plant.

Plant Care

Plant into any good garden soil. Feed with a good general fertiliser and trim to ground level in spring and again mid season to have fresh, colourful regrowth.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
