Dryopteris koidzumiana
Koidzuma's Wood Fern is distinguished by the brilliant red new growth that changes to shades of copper and gold, before maturing to a lush green. Easy to grow, the glossy arching fronds make a wonderful addition to shady garden areas. Best colour is obtained in an acidic soil.
Plant Care
Prefers a moist soil or substrate in a shady part of the garden. Semi-evergreen. Feed in spring with a general fertiliser and trim away any old fronds as the new growth appears.
