Clematis montana 'Giant Star'
Large, highly scented pink flowers with a wide white margin, are produced in abundance in late spring, against a backdrop of deep purple foliage that lightens to dark green as the year progresses. Hardy and vigorous, this is a valuable flowering climber for covering garden structures and fences.

Easy to grow in any average, well drained garden soil, but avoid wet areas.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
