Salvia x sylvestris Blue Marvel ('Balsalarv'PBR)

This perennial 'Wood Sage' offers a rich display in any garden situation, forming neat, bushy clumps of grey-green leaves with upright, bright blue flower spikes from spring into autumn. The large flowers on this variety are very attractive to bees and butterflies, and are excellent for cut flowers.The removal of spent flower spikes encourages repeat blooming.

Plant Care

Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Trim to size and shape in early spring to ensure strong growth.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
