RHS Plants for Pollinators

Salvia Amethyst Lips ('Dyspurp')

This newly introduced 'Sage' produces an abundance of eye catching purple and white flowers throughout the summer. Ideal for patio containers or planting near walk ways to get the most of the fragrant foliage. The removal of spent flower spikes encourages reflowering.

Plant Care

Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Trim to 15cm in spring and feed to encourage new growth.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
