Polemonium 'Heaven Scent'PBR
This fine variety of 'Jacob's Ladder' forms a mound of purple tinged, ferny (or ladder-like) foliage, that provides a beautiful background for the flower spikes of lightly scented, violet-blue flowers. A great plant for patio containers or borders. This plant may die down in hard winters, but will regrow in spring.
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Trim away any old flower stems and foliage in spring.
Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
