Bergenia 'Autumn Magic'

Commonly called 'Elephant Ears' due to the large, evergreen leaves that offer year round colour, with their red edges, and weed control, as they form a dense mat. Clusters of vivid pink flowers bloom on red stalks above the fleshy leaves throughout autumn. Remove fladed flowers and any damaged leaves in spring.

Plant Care

Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Feed with a good liquid fertiliser every two weeks in the flowering season.

Height/Width

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
