Alstroemeria Indian Summer ('Tesronto'PBR)
Commonly called 'Peruvian Lilies', these plants will produce bright, colourful flowers on long, upright stems all summer. The removal of spent flower stems encourages more flowers. Excellent and long lasting cut flowers. The plant will die down in winter to regrow in spring.
An exciting plant for containers and flower borders. Best in well drained soils. Feed with a good liquid fertiliser every two weeks in the flowering season.
Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
