Acorus gramineus 'Ogon'
Golden Variegated Sweet Flag. This dwarf grass bears glossy, variegated leaves striped with pale green and cream. This grass especially likes wet ground. The cultivation of grasses is as old as gardening itself. Ornamental grasses are ideally suited to modern mixed borders as they contrast superbly with shrubs and herbaceous plants. A collection of grasses makes a versatile display in any garden.
Perfect for planting in pool margins or very wet areas. Trim away any old foliage in spring and feed with a good general fertiliser.
Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
