Ribes nigrum 'Ben Sarek'
Perfect for smaller gardens due to its neat, compact habit, but still capable of producing a large crop of glossy, black currants of excellent flavour ready for harvesting mid July. The fruit is ideal jams, pies or freezing, and it packed with Vitamin C. Branches may need some support due to heavy crops.
Plant Care
Plant into any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Can be grown in patio containers. Prune any weak shoots to ground level in spring and feed with a good general fertiliser.
