Cover bed improvements gather pace

A rolling programme to improve all the cover beds at GCP has continued in the last few months. This has included stripping off the existing ground surface in order to re-level it, with new Mypex ground cover sheets then laid across the top to improve growth and stability.

A state-of-the-art brand new Rota-Frame irrigation system has been installed that has seen the removal of old inefficient nozzels and will now enhance plant coverage with a more even and accurate distribution to improve water efficiency. Newly connected premium quality gel-filled taps are not only frost-resistant but will add greater versatility to a system that will help maximise crop yield.
