Passiflora caerulea

This blue passion flower is a fast growing climber, which will grow and flower over many years. Producing rich green leaves and beautiful exotic flowers which are white sometimes pink tinged, with purple, blue and white, and occassionally followed by orange fruit. Good for covering walls, fences, pergolas, trellis, archways and ideal for a conservatory.

Plant Care

Likes moist but well drained soil. In cold areas, grow in a container and overwinter indoors. Prune if necessary in early spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
