Mahonia eurybracteata 'Sweet Winter' ('Minganpi')
Providing a much needed source of food for insects caught out in the winter, this 'Oregon Grape' variety brightens up gardens during the drab winter months with its bright yellow, lightly fragrant flowers, set off perfectly among the pinnate, deep green, evergreen leaves. Flowers are often followed by purple-black berries.
Plant Care
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Trim to shape in late spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
