Elaeagnus x ebbingei 'Maryline'
This plant has widely variegated foliage with a light yellow that gets stronger with the seasons. Its compact shape makes this plant excellent for containers. In autumn the plant will produce discreet, white, scented flowers. A good shrub for coastal areas and city gardens as tolerant of salt and pollution.
Plant Care
Plant into any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Prune to size and shape in in mid to late spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
