Prunus laurocerasus 'Novita'

This 'Cherry Laurel' has proven to be extremely hardy and resilient to cold weather. Large, dark green, evergreen leaves contrast the white flowers in spring that are very attractive to pollinators. Dark berries follow the flowers in autumn and are loved by birds and other wildlife. A large shrub that is easily pruned to size and shape to suit most gardens.

Plant Care

Not fussy about soil types plant in any average garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Feed with a good general fertiliser in spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
