Ribes sanguineum 'Amore' ('Annys2003'PBR)
Compact and bushy, this 'flowering redcurrant' produces large clusters of pink-red flowers the full length of its stems. Well known for its springtime scent, plant next to walkways or in patio pots to get the most out of this early flowering shrub.
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, best in damp areas. This plant will lose its foliage in winter to regrow in spring.
Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather. Feed in spring with a good, general fertiliser.
