Sambucus nigra 'Cherry Lace'
A new compact form of ornamental 'Elder' noted for its stunning, dark chocolate foliage and masses of bright, pinky-red flowers on established plants in summer, before becoming glossy black berries. This plant drops its leaves in winter to re flush in spring. Hardy and easy to grow. Distinctive fragrance. Attracts wildlife.
Plant Care
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Feed with a good general fertiliser and prune any weak shoots to ground level and prune rest to size and shape as required in spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
