Trachycarpus fortunei
This evergreen palm tree is a fantastic specimen plant with large, fan-like, dark green leaves, great for giving gardens an exotic look. Also perfect for patio pots. Easy to care for. Remove lower leaves as they become brown. May need protection in severe winter weather.
Plant Care
Keep well watered until firmly established. Plant into any good garden soil, avoiding wet areas. Feed with a good general fertiliser in spring.

Water thoroughly, or stand pot in a container of water for half an hour before planting. Dig a hole twice the size of the root ball. Remove the pot, place the plant in the hole so that the root ball is level with the surrounding ground and refill, firming if necessary. Keep well watered in dry weather.
